10 easy to follow tips to shed some excess weight.

  1. Water: Water is your best friend during weight loss. A lot of excess weight is located in the colon, and getting the right amount of water everyday should help clear that region out. The most important thing about water, however, is keeping you hydrated during exercise. The workout is a lot easier when you’re properly hydrated.
  2. Pilates: For those of you who don’t like to exercise, Pilates dance is fun, and doesn’t really feel like exercise, but it does wonders for your figure!
  3. Organic Foods: The chemical additives, pesticides, and toxins in today’s foods are keeping many of us overweight. Weight loss can’t occur with too many toxins in the body. Eat organic foods to regulate your body during weight loss.
  4. Limit Caffeine: Caffeine blocks the production of serotonin in your brain. Serotonin helps keep your appetite down, so you’ll feel less hungry with more sleep and less caffeine.
  5. Yoga: It is hard to focus on weight loss when you’re stressed to the max. Most people “comfort-eat” when they’re too stressed, and most become too lethargic to exercise. Do some yoga, and clear your mind.
  6. Exercise During the Day: Take the stairs instead of the elevator, or walk to the television to change the channel when watching your TV shows. Even a little extra motion during the day helps.
  7. Cleaning House: Here’s a double positive: treat housework as your personal workout. Scrubbing the bathroom and vacuuming are great ways to burn those extra calories, and the house will look great, too!
  8. Music: Listening to upbeat music that you enjoy is a great way to keep you cleaning and exercising.
  9. Fidgeting: Jiggling your foot burns calories as well, about 500 calories a day! So if you’re sitting at a desk all day, keep that foot wiggling!
  10. Attitude: Remaining optimistic through out your weight loss will keep you going. Yes, it takes a long time to shed that excess weight, but it’s worth it!
