My Health Coach: Manage Your Weight

When this first came out, I was a bit sceptical about a game having any effect on your lifestyle and weight management.

After putting it off for a few weeks I decided to take the plunge and buy it. When you first switch it on the little stick person on the screen tells you to drink a glass of water, weird but after you have done that he lists the benefits of drinking water which include less headaches and hydration. After that you are asked to set up the pedometer you receive with the game and then walk 500 steps, it was raining at this point where I live so I had to make do with wandering around upstairs and downstairs of the house. It only took about five minutes and then gave you a few tutorials on how the games other features work like the challenges, inputting your daily food intake and physical activity. Before that though it asks you to input your sex, age, height and weight, doing this lets the game calculate your bmi and sets targets for you to reach over a month. Mine was to go from 196 pounds to 190 in a month, at the moment I am 187 pounds and doing well.

This game doesn't speak down to you either it sets reasonable goals and challenges which help you make small change in your eating habits and lifestyle. It is exactly right what it says on the box the small changes make the biggest difference, and after 10-15 minutes using it everyday you will feel the difference. I know go out of my way to walk more so I can get over my target step count which is 6500 at the moment. I am thoroughly enjoying using this to help achieve my desired weight and figure, I can't see the difference yet but the scales tell me otherwise and once my clothes start to loosen up a bit I will have even more faith in this game.

I would recommend this game for anyone who wishes to lose a bit of weight or stay at their desired weight, as long as you use it everyday and are honest with the answers you give on the coaching sessions; not to mention the daily food intake and physical challenges you will really feel the difference. Don't be tempted to go on crash dieting because they never work, sure you will lose a lot of weight in a small amount of time but you will find it harder to keep that weight once you go back to your normal eating habits. Just have a bit of faith and buy the game, I did and I have lost a few pounds in just over a week and I am finding it easy to keep them off.
