So many diets out there, so many empty promises. Its sad because the marketing gurus are keeping the actual beneficial diets smothered with advertising, nobody even has a chance to evaluate or hear about the therapeutic diets. I don't like any title with the word "diet" as the word scares the average person who desires to lose weight. I like programs that change a person's thinking and behavior, not one with actually food diets to follow. Mental areas need nourishment, so that is why I designed my weight loss program as more of a mental meal. This is what I believe is the source of weight gain; unhealthy eating habits and rituals. That is why I published a weight loss book. Now a mental plan that challenges a person's beliefs and motivates them to change their unhealthy eating behaviors is ideal. Yes a good program deals with proportional eating training, this is why they can be used with the Lap Band and many other weight loss procedures.
Unfortunately we in the USA follow the herd mentality. That is we believe we have to eat because its twelve noon. We basically follow the leader. Breaking this cycle and relearning to listen to our bodies will be a part of the healthy eating program. Weight loss programs should focus on all the unhealthy eating habits and behaviors. Thus empowering a person with the ability to change their eating behavior and in turn changes their physical appearance. Some weight loss programs come with hypnotic audios. Hypnosis audios are excellent in keeping a person motivated and focused on their goals. I have one that I produced and it is available through download for free at my website.
