A balanced diet is key to maintaining good health. Unlike in the past where one only heard of a weight loss diet, today there are a variety of diet types.

I've given you the most used methods on dieting but some of them are not that healthy. There are a lot more varieties that you can found out in the internet, magazines, trimedia, etc.
Most of the popular diets have been thoroughly researched and tested for their effectiveness. However you should not depend on those methods only, you also need to exercise daily which help you burn calories faster.
Besides, eating less means fewer calories. The only food groups you should not cut back on are vegetables and low-sugar fruits. You hold back not on nutrition but on quantity of your intake.
If you want to, Try this:
- Drop the habit of eating too much when it comes to Dinner. Just take hot soups and salads.
- Skip desserts especially ice cream or chocolate cakes.
- Avoid junk foods. Serve dried veggie sticks as your snack. I know, you're about to puke... trust me it is better than eating high calorie Junk Foods. That's why it was called "Junk" cause it just destroys our body.
My only opinion is avoiding any diet that limits you to only drinking fruits juices and a piece of meat the best way is to eat balanced and exercise moderately. There's no magic to it. If you're really serious with what you're doing (diet), you'll get what you want.
