Eat fruits and vegetables in place of cookies and sweets. Many fruits and vegetables have negative calorie values, which means that you burn off weight just by eating them.
Eat smaller portions as apposed to large full course meals. You should eat a small portion about every 3-4 hours. Some good choices would be fruit, granola bars, 100 calorie packs, ½ sandwich (but choose something healthy eg. Tuna or turkey and also choose wheat bread as apposed to white.)
Drink lots and lots of water. Water flushes out the toxins in your body, which ultimately burns fat. Juice is good too, but stay away from carbonated drinks.
Incorporate exercise into your daily routine. When you go shopping, kick it into overdrive. Take about 20 minutes and go for a short jog. Any physical activity is good for you and aides in losing weight.
Remember grilled or baked...not fried. Fried foods are usually very greasy and leave build up inside your body, which prevents and slows down weight loss.
Hold your stomach in. Believe it or not that works your muscles, making them tighter. At first it's difficult to remember to do so, but once you get used to it, you are constantly working out.
Get plenty of rest. Sleep replenishes your body and prepares it for the next day, and if you don't sleep you are more likely to crash, and your body will not burn fat as quickly.
