The Magic Starts with a Single Thought

Using affirmations to help weight loss.

The power of the mind can help you achieve anything.

How often have you said to yourself or others, I just can't lose weight no matter what I do? As long as you continue to use that thought, guess what? Your universe will make it true for you.

Did you notice I said "use that thought"? That was quite deliberate - you use every thought that passes through your mind. And if that is true, then you can make the choice to use that thought in a different way.

So the very first step to losing weight permanently is to change one thought. At first, every morning when you wake tell yourself:

  1. I lose weight easily and quickly.
  2. I am the perfect weight for me.
  3. I have the perfect figure for me.
  4. I am fit and healthy.

Repeat these four affirmations (or variations of them) 25 times before you get out of bed.

In the bathroom, look at your eyes in the mirror, take a deep breath and draw your thought down from your brain and into your heart and repeat aloud:

  1. I lose weight easily and quickly.
  2. I am the perfect weight for me.
  3. I have the perfect figure for me.
  4. I am fit and healthy.

Repeat these four affirmations ALOUD 25 times while you look at yourself in the mirror. If at first you don't actually convince yourself, and only you can judge if you sound convincing, keep at it. Over the days when you see weight coming off you will be more and more convinced of their truth.

In The Shower

The Chinese believe that rubbing the fat layers through the skin stimulates the break up of the fat cells. So using your hands well lubricated with soap to go over your body thus - in no particular order.

Chanting aloud, "I lose weight quickly and easily" in time to your movements rub a large circle on your tummy first with your right hand clockwise, then with your left hand anti-clockwise. Cover the whole area. Repeat at least 20 times and remember to keep your hands soapy.

Rub circles with soapy hands on your breasts, chanting in time to your movements, first clockwise then anticlockwise circles over each buttock in turn, straight lines up and down your arms paying particular attention to the under side of your upper arms straight lines up and down your calves and ankles straight lines up and down your thighs front and back.

Use the power of your mind to image flushing all that excess fat down the drain.

This is also great if used with a body brush or such for exfoliating.

Strengthen the influence by repeating the affirmations to yourself frequently during the day. Think, if you can berate yourself over something hundreds of times every day, you can encourage yourself just as powerfully. So you can't repeat them too often. Several hundred times even. If you doubt that, the next time you have a negative thought about yourself - I shouldn't have said that or done that - count how many times you tell yourself the same thing over and over again.

Once this thought has become a habit for you it won't be so hard to keep it going and something magical happens - you honestly believe it to be true and your weight will settle. PLUS, your spirits will rise, you will want to do the common sense things that create a healthy body, and you will be feel even better physically, mentally and emotionally as you take control over your own body.

PS: If you aren't losing weight consider the reason why - do you NEED that extra layer of protection and comfort just now? Just do the best you can every single day and don't berate yourself for anything.
