Weight Loss Cure? Beware

You really have to be careful at times.

Weight loss, fat loss, getting rid of that excess belly fat, call it what you will, it is big business.

You would think that with all the diets and exercise programs and books, pills, potions and all the rest that are out there, some that work, some that don't work and some that "kind of work", that you could hardly put a foot wrong in designing a new one.

Well, here's one I'd definitely avoid. It's called "The Weight Loss Cure "They" Don't Want You to Know About" and is about something to do with "Weight Loss Cure Protocol". I came across it while doing some research on current trends and practices. The sales blurb looked good, very convincing and to someone with a weight problem, it probably looks like a real miracle! An obesity cure, no less.

I thought it just a bit "too good to be true", so I dug a bit deeper, I found this on google Massachusetts Court Case. Basically, it's about misadvertising, promotion, and sale of a book entitled “The Weight Loss Cure "They" Don't Want You to Know About” . Apparently, they make some pretty wild claims, not least of which is, that they have a cure.

The Action is dated: October 4, 2007, and is the latest information I have been able to find.

Here's another interesting bit I found on wikipedia... it just gets worse! Some of the references date back to 2004.

I have to say that, so far, I have found nothing that says you won't lose weight using their method, the problem seems more to do with health issues surrounding the drug(s) involved and their claims. In particular, that, firstly, it can be performed easily from home and, secondly, when finished the course, you can eat whatever you like for the rest of your life without gaining more weight.

As for any affiliates who are endorsing this product with their good name, well...

If you go to Amazon.com and type "Weight Loss" in their search bar, the book is ranked number one. Again, well...

People have bought, and still are buying, this product. There has been massive advertising surrounding it. I just thought that you should be aware of the, to say the least, controversial nature of this method of weight loss.

Stay tuned...

Oh, by the way, I still am of the opinion that correct exercise combined with equally correct nutrition is the only long term method of sustaining proper weight and fitness. Mike Geary is a fitness and nutrition expert and has a wealth of information on the subject of weight loss and fitness.
