Why People on Diets Don't Lose Weight

Describing the problems people have when going on a diet to lose weight and keep it off.

They Don't Exercise!

Of course diet has a lot to do with it, but most diets, at least the healthy ones tell you that you are suppose to exercise along with changing what you eat. Most people, including myself half the time do not want to exercise. Even if it is just walking, or playing tennis for an hour a day, some exercise is better than none.

They Cheat on it!

Cheaters never prosper. When you cheat on your diet it can mess then whole plan up, sticking with it all is the best plan on action. Now I am not saying that if you cheat on your diet once its over and you should give up, you should certainly stick with it and try to get back on track, just try for no more relapses.

They Don't believe!

When I say they don't believe I mean that they have a lack of will power that causes them to give up, the voice in there head that is saying you can't do this is louder than the one that says you can. Let the good voice speak up an listen to it!

Too Much, Too Fast

The good majority of people that do on diets, do in fact lose weight. The catch is that the good majority of people that lose weights on diets gain the weight back. My doctor has told me losing more than a few pounds a week isn't really healthy because it makes up prone to gain the weight back on if it falls of to fast. He suggests losing only a few pounds at most per week, approximately one to three pounds.

The main idea to get from this article is to remember you are in control of your own fate and that weight control is something that takes steps and will not happen over night. So keep your will strong, and focused on your goal without trying for great success in short amounts of time. Go for a long term goal with many small steps along the way.
