Recent reports suggest that looking younger can be controlled by some simple measures. Essentially by stimulating circulation you improve the health of the surface tissues and your complexion which will make you look younger.
Drink lots of water, and not fruit flavoured or scented water, not mineral or carbonated, simply water, filtered, if necessary.
Eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Recent reports suggest this keeps the complexion looking good. Avoid more than 3 pieces of fruit a day and check out those most beneficial for skin like broccoli and avocado. Although avocado tends to be heavy in fat it is worth having occasionally.
Avoid washing your face with water as it is drying. Use a cleanser and toner that suits your skin and as an extra tip, if you dampen the cotton wool before applying the cleanser and toner you will use less of both.
When using make up use a good moisturiser under your foundation and make sure you cleanse your face thoroughly before you go to bed
Get plenty of fresh air, at least ten minutes every day. However, beware of strong sunlight; make sure you wear a hat and sun block.
Exercise. This does not have to be strenuous, a 20 minute walk 3 times a week is enough to keep your circulation healthy or try to get a 10 minute walk every day and that will cover Tip 5 and Tip 6 at the same time.
Avoid smoking. Nicotine destroys vitamins essential for healthy tissues.
Avoid heavy concentrations of caffeine found in coffee and soft drinks.
Avoid binge drinking. Alcohol has a dehydrating effect, avoid it completely if you can but if you can't then cut it down. Try alternating a glass of water with a glass of wine but do not drink to excess.
