Being pregnant can have it's ups and downs. It can be overwhelming especially for a first time mother. I have found some remedies for some of the aches and pains of pregnancy.
For Braxton Hicks:
Try to gently massage your belly with a good smelling lotion. The baby will like the massage, the lotion can help with reducing stretch marks and the scent can help relax you. Take deep breaths and let them out slowly while you are massaging your belly. If this fails to work then try soaking in a warm bath where the water covers your entire belly. While soaking slowly make small circles on your tummy using two fingers. Make sure that during the day you are drinking plenty of water, as the baby grows the more water you take in can help with Braxton Hicks.
For Leg Cramps:
Stretch your legs often especially if you have been sitting or standing for a while. Avoid stretches that require your toes to point or your torso to bend forward. Those types of stretches can put unnessecary stress on the baby. Try to bend your knees while stretching or standing. Bending your knees helps take the pressure off just a main part of your legs. Stretch for about five minutes then relax and slowly massage your muscles. Walking will help reduce leg cramps as well. A small walk can keep those muscles from cramping up too badly.
