Penicillin is an antibiotic drug. There are several antibiotics these days. Antibiotics are drugs which are useful in the prevention and treatment of infections. ‘Anti’ means against and ‘biotic’ means life. Antibiotics work against disease producing bacteria.

Athlete’s Foot: Fungus Infection of the Foot

This is basically a fungus infection of the foot, and most of us are liable to catch it to some degree through some people are especially sensitive to the fungus. The name of this disease comes form the fact that it is often spread among athletes who share a common shower bath.

At the outset, we must understand that deafness and hard of hearing are not the same. Deafness means nearly complete or total loss of hearing. Hard-of-hearing applies to those who lose some ability to hear sounds. Deafness is either congenital or caused by some disease or accident after birth.
